King Pedro I de Castile is murdered by his brother, Henry of Trastamara . . . this event occurs following Pedro's decisive loss at the Battle of Montiel in Spain . . . Pedro is currently believed to be an 18th great-grandpa of our Josephine Wingfield Henry nee Davis (1842-1899) . . . who is a 2nd great-grandma to the Keeper of this genea-blog . . .
