1307 -- Margaret de Clare weds Piers de Gaveston
On this date in our family history . . . the 1st day of the month of November . . . in the year 1307 . . . at Berkhamsted Castle . . . in Hertfordshire, England . . . Margaret de Clare becomes the bride of Piers de Gaveston. This Margaret (1292-1342) is currently believed to be a 24th great-grandma -- by way of her 2nd marriage to Sir Hugh de Audley (1289-1347) -- to the Keeper of this geneablog.
