Another great blog page. It's amazing how the cheerleader outfits have changed over the years. Back in the 1940's they were so covered and now there is hardly any outfit ;-)
Thank y'all for stopping by to visit Mom in her late 1940s cheerleader outfit! Mom was raised in Texas by Southern Baptist grandparents and says she used to conceal her shorts under her skirts when she left the house -- 'cause wearing shorts out in public was NOT allowed (and neither was dancing!). I think I remember one photo of her as a teenager wearing shorts. Gotta find that one!
